BLOG: Sally Maier-Yip Shortlisted for “Rising Star” Award at Chinese Business Leaders AwardsPosted by in China, China, Events, Events, Latest News, Latest News
I am most humbled and honoured to be one of the Finalists for the Chinese Business Leaders Awards (CBLA) 2017’s “Rising Star Award”, which recognises a young business leader under 35 who has demonstrated enterprise, innovation, and entrepreneurial flair.
Organised by SinoPro and PwC, the CBLA is the UK’s first awards to recognise and celebrate the most talented Chinese individuals within the UK’s business community.
Winners were announced at the CBLA Ceremony & PwC China Business Group’s 10 Year Anniversary on 8 November. I did not win as the winner Holly Wang really well deserves the award. She’s a young Chinese fashion designer who is selling her design clothes in the UK and around the world at a very young age. My sincerest congratulations goes to her; and my warmest congratulations to the most inspiring lady, Mei Sim Lai OBE, for winning the Outstanding Contribution Award. Thanks so much for being such an inspiration to us all.
I am still humbled to be one of the three finalists for the Rising Star Award category this year. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for your support and confidence on me – which really matters! Thank you so very much!!
Running my own business has been full of ups and downs. Not easy but worth doing. Keep going.
