CLIENT NEWS: Lalage Beaumont Celebrates IWD with Female EntrepreneursPosted by in Communications, Events, Latest News, Public relations
In celebration of International Women’s Day (IWD), Lalage Beaumont, a luxury British designer collection with a flagship store in Knightsbridge, London, was delighted to hold an intimate afternoon tea session with six female elites from South East Asia, sharing encouraging stories (and lots of sweat) behind those successful female entrepreneurs.
Lalage also shared her journey as a British designer who runs her own business in a hugely competitive fashion world. “Entrepreneurship is never an easy job for women, but it is a very rewarding journey and I enjoy every moment I spent as a businesswoman and as a designer.”
During the event, different topics were discussed including the challenges women are facing in today’s society and the accomplishments they have achieved so far. Women nowadays have too many different roles, they are someone’s daughter, sister, mother, wife, boss or employee. Apart from all these roles, how to represent themselves as an individual has become more and more important to them.
Guests spoke highly of this event: “This afternoon was one of the best events I have been, with a right mix of people, small yet powerful.”
To support women in Asia, Lalage appointed an experienced female chef originally from Hong Kong as a dessert chef for this exclusive event, and made it a traditional fair.
This year, Lalage Beaumont pledged to donate £20 for every full price garment and handbag which is sold on Friday 6th March and Saturday 7th March to The Prince’s Trust to support their Women Supporting Women initiative and The #ChangeAGirlsLife Campaign. Together the money raised will help young women in the UK facing enormous challenges to have a brighter future.
