The Brief

To build HBA Residential’s reputation as the go-to, trusted luxury interior design firm for the Chinese U/HNWIs in China, Hong Kong and the UK

The Challenge

Chinese U/HNWI target audiences are extremely discreet, hard to reach and difficult to gain their trust. This was the main challenge we needed to overcome 

Our Strategy 

Since 2016 (to present), we have supported HBA Residential to achieve certain PR goals with strategic thought leadership building of the Global Principal, Chris Godfrey. We use a human connection and a personal inspirational approach (as opposed to a corporate story) to build trust with these Chinese U/HNWI audiences. Other services provided include:

• Top-tier China media relations – business, financial, wealth management, luxury press
• Bespoke events for Chinese HNWIs and intermediates in China and London
• Set up an official WeChat company account and created relevant content monthly
• Organised webinars with strategic partners
• Direct business introductions with business influencers in the UK, China and HK

Results (from 2016 – to present): 

• Over the past four years, we have achieved more than 50 media articles (both print and online) for HBA Residential, including Forbes China, Shanghai Daily, Apex Manual, Esquire HK, China Business Network and many more
• Secured Forbes China’s columnist profiling opportunity to comment on luxury interior design matters regularly
• Reached over 1 billion views in China through strategic media relations
• Organised four successful bespoke events in China (Guangzhou and Shanghai) and London
• Successfully introduced over 30 business influencers in the family office, banking, education, architecture and private wealth sectors
