The Brief
To build RIBA’s brand reputation among architects and business leaders in China
The Challenge
RIBA was new to China. We needed to communicate what RIBA is about to the Chinese audience, including architects and the property communities in China.
Our Strategy
We supported RIBA on two different occasions:
In 2019, the CEO of RIBA travelled from the UK to China on business. We used his presence on the ground in China to build strong relationships with the top-tier property and business media in person.
In 2020, we supported RIBA’s architecture photography competition, 88 Places & Spaces, with press release writing and media relations.
Results
Through strategic media relations, we have helped to build RIBA’s reputation favourably in China with key messaging included in the top Chinese business, property and national press.
We secured one-on-one media interviews for the CEO and generated successful features in China’s top property and national press, including: Construction Times, iWeekly, China Daily, China Business Times, and the Journal of Wealth Management.
We have also secured more than 10 online articles, including: Sina Home, Cri Online, China.com.cn, Ifeng.com, Tech.china.com, Sohu News and Tencent Home.
